QUESTION 3-What have you learnt from your audience feedback

The video below is of a member of my target audience answering questions on how to improve the production.



I interviewed Daniel because he is the around the same age as our target audience and is a keen horror fan. Due to the fact Daniel knows a lot about horrors it has allowed me to take into account his feedback and try and change it to what he would want to see hopefully and hopefully generalise his feedback to what others want.

In the survey of the people I asked 11 answered

9 people could tell that they were part of the same production whilst 2 could not therefore obviously we need to change photos on the ancillaries or just one of them and maybe introduce more stuff into the trailer.

On average out of 5 people rated all of them around 4 out of 5 therefore the poster having scored the highest does not need to be changed much.

This is quite worrying as 1 person couldn't tell what the plot was therefore we need to try and improve the story telling in the trailer as there maybe others who do not get it. We could achieve this by trying to add more background story to the trailer although that is not conventional of a horror.

In this question 10 people said that it was effective whilst one was half and half again I need to make alterations to maybe a specific release date and making the title more prominent.

8 people said the magazine was effective in promoting the film whilst 3 others said that it was partially successful and therefore we should probably change the photo and layout in order to improve the marketing of the movie.

This is really amazing as out of everyone that answered 10 said that they would definitely watch the full movie which is what the trailer is supposed to achieve.

In addition to these, such comments where left as "make the antagonist more prominent in the magazine" and "make the trailer include faster cuts". Therefore we shall add these amongst other things and see if it improves the work.
